Report claims most oil still in Gulf | POLITICO 44
Gee, anyone else remember the EPA lying through it’s teeth about the air around ground zero after the fall of the towers? Air that if in a factory OSHA would have shut down instantly? This looks like the truth over the deceptions again.

Up to 79 percent of the oil that leaked into the Gulf of Mexico from the BP well hasn’t been recovered and “remains a threat to the ecosystem,” a report from the University of Georgia says.
“One major misconception is that oil that has dissolved into water is gone and, therefore, harmless,” Charles Hopkinson, the director of Georgia Sea Grant, said in a statement. “The oil is still out there, and it will likely take years to completely degrade. We are still far from a complete understanding of what its impacts are.”
The report’s authors note that the analysis “strongly contradicts” the notion that just one-quarter of the oil from the leak is still present. Hopkinson said the figures are different because the authors think most of the oil that is “classified” as dispersed, dissolved or residual is still there, while a government report suggests that the only oil left is residual.
